Stress Buster

Stress buster programs can include hypnosis and visualization among many other methods. It is important to release your tensions and worries. Even technology can be used for relief.

Stress buster is a term that has been used quite a bit to denote programs or processes that offer a certain relief. Whether they are structured and outlined, or provide a general methodology of improving life, they share some commonalities. In hypnosis, a stress buster session can be very effective. Though there are many examples of these hypnotic sessions, one example could be outlined as follows: Stress Buster

•    The person will become relaxed and in trance in order to bypass the critical and judgmental mind.
•    The hypnotist (which could be the person’s own pre-recorded session) talks to the subconscious, much like one would talk to a child.
•    The scene is usually one the person finds very relaxing. The stress buster consists of allowing the person’s tensions and worries to be placed into a bag or a box.
•    The person then closes the box, or ties the bag, and throws it far away, burns it, or any other symbolic means for releasing.

Another common stress buster method used by hypnotists is called anchoring. Typically, a relaxing color or scene, like a beach, is associated with a certain stimulus, like touching the hand. This can be used to desensitize a person to what causes their tension, and instead, associate with the relaxing place or color.

Even though verbal affirmations are powerful in themselves, a stress buster might also use technology. One such technology is binaural beats. For those that have trouble going into a relaxed state, these, and also isochronic tones can help the brain tune into certain natural frequencies that give the subconscious more of a chance to work. Working through the subconscious is one way to make the stress buster work.

For anyone at a point where they have needed a chronic stress buster, it is wise to document and keep track of one’s progress. Find what works, whether herbs, music, incense, meditation, yoga or the like. For some, contact sports might be their viable stress buster.
